Metrological verification |
|
As all scientific measuring instruments, weather instruments proposed by ATMOS Company require to be regularly checked. This operation allows controlling the accuracy and consistency of measurements, while offering the possibility to anticipate the ageing of the instrument and the opportunity to perform preventive maintenance operations. Due to the large number of meteorological parameters (wind speed, temperature, humidity, radiation…), ATMOS decided not be COFRAC certified by itself (see "Calibrating COFRAC" section for more information on this subject). However, in our metrological monitoring policy, we have deployed control benches for the following parameters:
Most of these test benches are equipped with secondary reference instruments, to achieve a comparative measurement. In addition to controls, many instruments can be realigned on the reference instrument, by analog or digital method under requirement. Moreover, they are archived in our premises in order to allow a follow up over the life duration of the instrument. All metrological checks related to these test benches follow specific protocols developed by ATMOS. The results of each test are then collected in a report, sent to owner of the instrument in digital version and/or paper according to the application. It is important to note that the metrological verification report provided by ATMOS can not substitute a certificate of calibration released by a certified laboratory. For any specific metrological control, do not hesitate to contact ATMOS. Our technical team is present to advise you on this subject. |
