Since 2003, ATMOS installed numerous weather stations on different types of sites: chemical plants, harbours and airports, air quality control centers and many others. These autonomous stations collect data and store them as time-stamped text files on the computer near the instruments. 

These raw data, sometimes recorded during several years, are not always obvious to process by the end user. This issue prompted us to propose the processing of these data.

This operation involves three steps:

 

• Sending time-stamped text files to ATMOS, either by email, or with removable digital media (USB stick, external hard drive...). Reception in our premises, reading data, compatibility testing, possible detection of errors in files.  
• Numercial processing of meteorological data by the ATMOS procedure (possibility of adaptation of the program based on the specific needs of our customers - do not hesitate to contact us about it), retrieving specific information (wind gust, minimum/maximum of temperature or humidity...), creation of graphics.  
• Preparation of the final report, archiving and mailing, in physical or digital document format.  

 

The weather parameters potentially concerned by this process are:

 

• Wind (average speed, direction, daily / weekly gust..., main wind field...)
• Temperature and relative humidity of air (minimum and maximum daily / weekly / monthly / annual average, evolution...)
• Barometric pressure (average, minimum and maximum...)
• Precipitation (daily accumulation / weekly / monthly / annual, average...)
• Intensity of Solar radiation (average, minimum and maxima…)
